Our Retinal 0.05% cell renewal serum targets the high-level function of your evening routine focused on anti-ageing! Retinal is a new generation formula of vitamin A that is 10x more effective than retinol, so at concentrations as low as 0.05% it fights the signs of ageing skin: wrinkles, fine lines and pigment spots.
Consciously developed, new generation formula
Retinal boosts the super effect of retinol, a well-known member of the vitamin A family. Its cell renewal processes regulate the division of skin cells and accelerate the regeneration of the top layer, which also plays an important role in smoothing the surface of the skin. Its bonus feature is that it also works great with other star active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, peptides or niacinamide, so feel free to use them together in your routine.
Goodbye wrinkles and spots
Our Retinal Cell Renewal Serum is recommended not only if you are anti-ageing, but also if you're following a routine for spots, as it has a global impact on spots and pigment spots.
Gradually integrate it into your routine!
Using retinoids takes a little getting used to, so if you have sensitive skin, use only 2x the first week and then make sure you include them into your nightly routine! Using sunscreen in the morning is a must! As vitamin A derivatives are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding - as a mother-to-be, choose our Age Control 1% Bakuchiol face cream with a plant-based active ingredient instead.
Ideal for all skin types and it can also be used by beginners. Our retinal serum with a strength of 0.05% is an emulsion-based, easily absorbed, medium-strength retinoid formula that is comparable to a 0.5% retinol serum.
Integrate it into your evening routine after a thorough facial cleansing with a gentle cleanser, following a sequence of serums. Finish off with a moisturiser and do not forget to use sunscreen in the morning!
Aqua, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Polyglyceryl-6 Stearate, Squalane, Polyglyceryl-6 Behenate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopherol, Retinal, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Ubiquinone
At what age should we start using retinal serum?
From our twenties onwards, the production of collagen in our skin decreases steadily and roughly at a constant rate of about 1% per year. It is a good idea to start with a gentle retinol serum in your 20s to slow this down and stimulate the production of collagen. A medium strength serum for over 25s and a must-have for over 30s!
Where do I fit it into my routine?
It is good practice to use retinol in the evening, and the order is as follows: cleanser, toner/exfoliator - you can use serums, including retinal - and finally finish off with a moisturiser. In the morning, be sure to use sunscreen - it is essential anyway, but it is a must with retinol derivatives!
Can I use the serum during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
We do not recommend its use during pregnancy or breastfeeding! Instead, choose our Age Control 1% Bakuchiol moisturiser with herbal active ingredients.
